Mass Effect Costumes Combined Day 20

Day 20: Now working on both Male and Female costumes together. Total build time so far for both suits combined is 20 days.

Upper leg armors almost finished. Still have to add the buckles, strapping and a little more detailing.

    WOW this is hands down the best N7 armor costume i have ever seen, the attention to detail and all of the shapes are exactly the way they should be. very awesome, very nice work. keep it up cant wait to see more πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, but honestly there are some parts of the suit that I am having to “fudge” due to time, budget constraints and not being able to find the exact materials that I would like to use. (example the flex gaskets in the middle of the leg sections) However the Mark 2 versions will no doubt be even more accurate than these are.

    • Its just more foam with grooves cut into it to make it look like a gasket.

    HI, your armor and your blog is really amazing. I was wondering how did you keep the thigh armor from sliding towards the ground when you wear it? I always come across this problem when I wear armor cosplay.

    • Form fitting and good articulation helps, but mostly its proper placement of velcro and elastic strapping that keeps things where they belong. The Belt on the N7 should be where you would normally wear a belt (both male and female) if you have it in the right place you can tighten it down just like a real belt that holds up your pants, it’s really as simple as that.
